Below is a guide to how guest payments and payouts work for your Dtravel-powered listings.
💳 Guest Payment Options
By default, your listings are set up to accept multiple stablecoins, including USDT and USDC. You can manage your accepted payment methods in your Dtravel Settings. To learn more about crypto payments, read our article here.
If you want to accept credit card (fiat) payments:
Go to Settings → Integrations.
Click Connect next to Stripe.
Follow the prompts to log into Stripe or create a new account.
Once connected, your listing will be to accept payments via Stripe (including credit cards, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and more)
⚡ Note: Guests paying with credit cards will incur you an additional Stripe processing fee (~2.9% + $0.30) collected directly by Stripe. 💡 You can choose to pass the Stripe fee onto guests or cover it yourself.
Guests paying with cryptocurrency do not incur Stripe fees.
💸 How Payouts & Refunds Work
Since you are the Merchant of Record (MoR), payouts happen directly to your Stripe account or wallet and typically occur within 24 hours of booking.
If you a cancel a Dtravel booking, Dtravel will always attempt to trigger the relevant refund, but we strongly recommend double-checking your Stripe account or wallet to ensure the funds have been successfully transferred.
The handling of refunds is at the operator’s discretion — not Dtravel's.
🧠 Crypto-Powered Reservations
When guests pay with cryptocurrency:
The reservation is powered by a smart contract.
Terms are immutable, stored publicly, and executed automatically.
Funds are transferred directly to your non-custodial wallet linked to Dtravel.
Benefits include:
Lower fees
No risk of chargebacks
Faster payouts
🏦 Credit Card-Powered Reservations
When guests pay by credit card:
Payments are processed securely through Stripe.
Funds are deposited into your Stripe account
Stripe’s processing fee (~2.9% + $0.30) applies
🏛 Dtravel Platform Fees
To help power the ecosystem and cover operational costs, Dtravel charges a platform fee based on how the booking originated:
5% for most bookings (e.g. direct bookings, manual reservations, and Google VR)
9% for all other referred bookings (guests Dtravel helped bring to you through marketing channels like Dtravel Search, Collectives, and more)
